At OPRL, we’re all about making sure our members have everything they need to succeed—whether it’s through innovative tools or our dedicated team. To keep delivering the high-quality support you’ve come to expect, we decided to grow our team last year. And what a year it’s been!
Let us introduce you to the fresh faces (and talents) that joined the OPRL family and how we’re working together to make your experience even better.
A Warm Welcome to New Faces
Last year, we welcomed Jude Allan as our Interim Managing Director, Helen Young as our new Office Manager, Hannah Mills as our new Marketing and Sales Executive, as well as Lynsey Jamieson as our Existing Customer Marketing Executive whose sole focus is on making sure our member communications are as engaging, informative and useful as possible.
Then, in October 2024, we expanded our Member Support Team, bringing three new stars aboard:
Briony Blake
Briony comes from the toy industry, where she gained years of experience working with major retailers and e-commerce partners. Now, she’s applying that customer-focused expertise to audit and compliance, helping members ensure their recycling labels are accurate and ready to go.
Charlie Norridge
Charlie brings a knack for building strong relationships, thanks to her background in customer service. She’s your go-to for packaging and recycling queries, always ready to provide advice with a smile (even over email!). Not only does Charlie assist members with their enquiries, but she’s also keeping our exclusive tools up to date, which means you can trust you’re getting the most accurate information possible.
Madeline “Maddy” Barnes
With over 20 years of customer service experience, Maddy is our finance wizard. She’s here to make sure our members get top-notch support on all finance-related queries—basically, she’s the calm in the storm of spreadsheets.
Together with Alice (our Director of Technical and Member Services), Emily (Packaging & Recycling Manager), and Adam (Member Engagement Manager), our Member Services Team is now a powerhouse of expertise, ready to support you at every turn.
Investing in People to Support You Better
We don’t just hire great people; we also invest in them. Last year alone, the OPRL team completed over 550 hours of training—because when we grow, so does the support we can offer you.
From technical know-how to corporate development initiatives, we’ve worked hard to stay at the forefront of industry knowledge. A special shoutout to Emily, who earned a distinction in her PIABC Certificate in Packaging last summer. With her technical expertise, she’s well-equipped to provide you with the guidance you need.
