Member Engagement Manager

Contract Type:  Full time / 37.5 hours.  Alternative hours / work patterns considered for the right candidate 

Based: Hybrid office (Banbury)/Flexible working  

Salary: £38 – 43,000  FTE depending on experience + bonus + benefits 

Reporting to: Director of Technical and Member Services 

Role Overview

OPRL are the UKs independent experts in recyclability for packaging, best known for our world leading on pack recycling labels that we supply to our members. We work to achieve OPRL’s vision of a world where packaging doesn’t go to waste.

OPRL has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and has grown its membership base exponentially. In order to grow the organisation further and offer the best service to our members we are looking to expand our team.

We are looking for a Member Engagement Manager to ensure that our customers receive excellent and timely services that meet their evolving needs. This will in turn maintain the retention of existing customers. You will help to deliver and develop OPRL’s services so that they can be scaled and automated ahead of mandatory labelling, reporting to the Director of Technical and Member Services.

Key Responsibilities

Working within the Member Support team in the delivery of OPRL Member Support Strategy.
Including but not limited to:
 

  • Working with the team to establish and maintain relationships with key membership accounts, demonstrating tools and support available and keeping them informed of any developments or updates;
  • Managing CRM records for assigned accounts, providing reports on engagement as and when required
  • Working with the team and with marketing to provide a programme of member communications and engagement;
  • Dealing with upholding standards, resolving problems, and identifying opportunities for improvements;
  • Representing OPRL at industry events and ensuring consistency of messaging across the OPRL team;
  • Championing our brand as the pre-eminent UK recycling label and trusted source of packaging recycling information for consumer and consumer-like packaging.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of working in customer service and account management – Essential
  • Excellent communication skills and organisation, and ability to work independently – Essential
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office – Essential
  • Thorough knowledge of working with a CRM (ideally HubSpot) – Highly desirable
  • Experience in working for environmental / sustainability organisations – Desirable

  • Communication – good communicator both written and oral
  • Planning and organisation – working across different activities
  • Responsibility – comfortable working without frequent direction
  • Teamwork – ability to work within a team structure
  • Problem solving – able to interpret packaging information (with support)

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE – Essential
  • Higher education qualification such as degree in relevant subject – Desirable
