We’re kicking off 2025 with a bang by attending Packaging Innovations at the NEC, Birmingham, on 12 & 13 February! This exciting two-day event sits at the heart of the UK’s industrial and FMCG market, bringing the entire packaging supply chain together under one roof to showcase the latest innovations and solutions.

As the UK’s leading packaging event, Packaging Innovations connects brands, retailers, and packaging suppliers, making it the go-to place for discovering cutting-edge ideas and building valuable relationships. The event covers everything from primary and secondary packaging to innovative materials and new formats, attracting thousands of packaging designers and technologists from markets like food, retail, FMCG, drinks, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and more.

And that’s not all… Don’t miss our Interim Managing Director, Jude Allan, who will be speaking on the Circular Economy stage on Wednesday 12 February at 10:30. She’ll dive into “The Role of Labelling for Recycling in pEPR”. OPRL member, Katie Lynch – Senior Packaging Technologist at itsu [grocery], will be joining Jude for this discussion about the role the consumer plays in the success of pEPR and the importance recycling labels will have with this.

Jude is also a judge for the ‘Future Trailblazers Programme’ on the Circular Economy Stage from 13:45-14:40 on the Wednesday. This fantastic award programme celebrates innovation and recognises trailblazers within the packaging sector. Last year’s winner, Chris Yapp is an innovator and OPRL member with Tri-Locker; Chris won for his role in their innovative and trailblazing revolutionary sealing system – a patented cold-seal adhesive technology that creates a high-integrity seal.

We recently worked with Tri-Locker on a case study, showcasing how their membership has helped them grow in confidence about their recycling credentials and ability to help customers comply with new regulations while pursuing more sustainable solutions.
