With a goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, Tata Consumer Products must hit an interim target of making 100% of all its packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.
What’s more, as a member of the UK Plastics Pact, the company has committed to eliminating problematic or unnecessary single-use packaging through redesign, innovation, or reuse delivery models. All its remaining plastic packaging must be reusable or recyclable – while at least 30% needs to be made from recycled content.
To fulfil these ambitious commitments, the company’s sustainability manager needed to source the right packaging options, whilst ensuring all that they kept up to date with all the latest regulations.
Tata Consumer Products decided that the way forward was to join OPRL with the objective of helping to drive their circular economy and enhancing consumer comprehension regarding product disposal. Through this partnership, they aim to facilitate a seamless transition towards sustainable practices and empower consumers to make informed choices for a greener future.
